A New Page Field Notes

We will show you whether it is actually working.

Most reading programs ask you to trust a polished claim. We would rather show you the real numbers, including the weeks that are not perfect. This page is our promise to measure honestly and publish what we find.

How we measure

Every A New Page reader can take a one-minute oral reading fluency check, the same kind of curriculum-based measure that reading specialists use. It is built into the app, and it charts each child's growth against their own past scores, never against a grade norm that would tell a struggling reader they are behind.

Our promise

As families use A New Page, we will publish a regular Field Notes report: starting levels, how much families read, the growth we see, how many families stay, and what parents tell us changed. We will report it plainly, and we will not hide the parts that are still improving.

We are also inviting independent university researchers to study the program, so the results are measured by someone other than us. That work is underway.

The first Field Notes report is coming as our earliest families build a few weeks of reading history. Check back, or start your child now and be part of the first numbers.

The reading check is a progress measure and a screener, not a medical or psychological diagnosis. Growth is reported against each child's own baseline.
