Your state may already pay for this.

Dozens of states give families public money for curriculum, tutoring, and educational software, especially for a child with dyslexia or a reading disability. Two ways to use it:

1. Reimbursement, where your program allows it

   Many programs reimburse approved curriculum. Your state page says exactly how. Start A New Page, then get your itemized receipt (it lists the product as a structured-literacy reading curriculum) and submit it to your state’s ESA portal. Keep the receipt plus your child’s placement and weekly progress reports as documentation.

2. Direct pay at checkout, where we are a listed vendor

   Live now: direct pay in 3 states (Alabama, Arizona and New Hampshire) through ClassWallet, and buy first, get paid back in 8 (Alaska, Florida, Idaho, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee and West Virginia). Vendor approved and in final marketplace review: Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Utah and Wyoming on Odyssey. These do not pay for A New Page yet. Your state page says exactly where things stand.

Programs, amounts, and rules change often. A New Page is an eligible category of expense in these programs, but final approval is always up to your state administrator. This is not tax or legal advice.

New for 2026: federal law now lets 529 plans pay for K-12 curriculum. As of the 2025 federal tax law, qualified K-12 529 expenses explicitly include curriculum and curriculum materials, online educational materials, books, and tutoring, and the K-12 withdrawal limit rises to $20,000 per child in 2026. A family with a 529 or Coverdell ESA can pay for A New Page with tax-advantaged dollars today.

Use your itemized receipt as documentation. One caveat: a few states have not yet matched their state tax rules to the federal change, so confirm with your plan. Not tax advice.

Schools and districts already spend federal Title I, Title IV, and IDEA special-education dollars on supplemental reading instruction and interventions for struggling and dyslexic students. A New Page fits that line item: explicit, structured literacy a child can do nightly, with weekly progress reports a teacher or IEP team can use.
