Questions parents ask
Is my child behind?
A grade label can’t tell you what to practice. Our free reading check shows which sounds your child already knows, and every story starts right there.
Am I doing it wrong?
If reading time ends in tears, the book was probably too hard, not your teaching. Here the words are chosen for your child, and a short script tells you what to say. You just sit beside your child.
Will my child ever love books?
We won’t promise that. What we can do is make tonight a story your child can actually read, with your child as the hero and a cliffhanger worth coming back for.
Why is a parent part of it? Can’t my child use it alone?
A beginning reader can’t self-correct yet, so solo apps let mistakes get practiced. With you tapping the tricky words (older readers can mark themselves), every miss gets fixed. As skill grows, the program hands each reader more to do alone.
What if my child is way behind?
The check will say so honestly, at the start, not after months. This program can help, and a child far behind also deserves a free school evaluation. We give you the letter to request one.
15 minutes. Really?
Really, for every reader, from the youngest to teens running their own: about 15 minutes a night. Each child does his or her own 15 minutes; two children is about half an hour. A short session you actually do beats a long one that collapses by March. Miss a day? It just resumes.
Will my price go up?
No. If you join now, you keep the founding family price for as long as you’re with us. Pausing doesn’t change it. If our prices change later, that’s only for families who join after.
