A free five-minute check places your child at their real reading level, and then they read their way through an adventure story that only moves forward when they actually read the words. There is no parent-directed public funding in the UK for a home reading programme. If your child has an EHCP with a personal budget, it is worth asking your local authority whether a reading resource can be covered, but do not count on it. So we keep it simple: a free week first, £29 a month for the whole family, and free access for any family where cost is the wall. Just ask.
