Built on the science of reading
A New Page is Structured Literacy: the explicit, systematic approach the International Dyslexia Association recommends, in the Orton-Gillingham tradition, for struggling and dyslexic readers.
Our scope and sequence follows the order of skills in UFLI Foundations, the University of Florida Literacy Institute’s reading curriculum used in thousands of classrooms, with a few vowel sounds introduced early.

Yes. A New Page serves English-speaking families worldwide, with local spelling on the parent pages, a fixed price in your own currency, and a free week to start.
What ages is it for?
Children roughly 3 to 18, placed by a free reading check of about 5 to 10 minutes at the safest place to start, not by their grade.
Is it based on real reading science?
Yes. It is explicit, systematic phonics (structured literacy), with mastery checks, spaced review and a weekly progress report, reviewed by a reading specialist with 41 years of experience teaching children to read.

Why now, in Singapore?
Singapore takes dyslexia seriously: primary schools run their own remediation programme, and the Ministry of Education subsidises the Dyslexia Association's literacy programme for children with a diagnosis. Even so, the evenings at home belong to parents. Fifteen minutes a night of explicit, systematic phonics, with mastery checks and spaced review, is what we built for exactly that. Is there funding in Singapore?
For context, the Dyslexia Association's programme runs to roughly two thousand dollars a year even with the MOE subsidy, and far more without it, and families without a Singaporean parent get no subsidy at all. If your child has a diagnosis, that programme is still the first door to knock on, and A New Page is built for the evenings alongside it. Either way we keep it simple: a free week first, S$37 a month for the whole family, and free access for any family where cost is the wall. Just ask. The check runs on your device. We ask for your email at the end to show you the result and send it, and we keep that email with the reading level it found. Never your child's name or age.
Is it made for families in Singapore?
Made for families in Singapore: British spelling on the parent pages, and the words are read in a British-English voice. The pure letter sounds are the same recordings everywhere, because a phoneme is a phoneme. Built in the US, available in eight countries; the stories and the method are the same everywhere.
Can a teacher or therapist see what we do at home?
Yes. In the app, open your child's reader and choose Share a reader. It gives you a code for that one child. The other grown-up opens anewpagereading.com/r, types the code and signs in with their own email. From then on you both see the same step, the same story and the same report, and either of you can stop sharing at any time.
